GL Accountant Functiedetails | Bureau Veritas

For our Finance Team we are looking for a new colleague who can join us in the role of GL Accountant. In this role you are part of an enthusiastic and experienced team that looks after the books of several Bureau Veritas entities in the Netherlands and Belgium. Our goals are compliance with relevant internal and external rules and policies, as well as supporting our business by giving reliable information

• Ensure the accuracy of books and records according to the Groups as well as statutory accounting principles
• Periodical and yearly financial reporting
• Supporting the business on periodical and ad hoc basis in reporting, analysis, cost control, budgeting & forecasting processes
• Ensure compliance to statutory requirements
• Cooperate with internal and external auditors
• Assure the protection of assets of Bureau Veritas according to defined guidelines
• Carry out special projects and analysis on request

• A minimum of 3 years of working experience in Accounting/Financial Control and a suitable qualification in accounting
• Ability to work accurately and with autonomy but equally as a member of a team
• Ability to perform and meet tight deadlines
• Excel Skills and knowledge of finance systems
• Knowledge of local or regional financial legislation and accounting standards and principles
• Professional level (C1) written and spoken in English and Dutch
